Dr. Page has won multiple awards for leadership, teaching and outreach.  Examples include the University of Calgary Department of Surgery Martin T. Spoor Award in Medicine for "leadership, technical skills, and mentoring of students and residents," the Canadian Orthopedic Foundation "Bones and Phones" scholarship for the innovative "Direct from the OR..." outreach program broadcasting live orthopedic surgery to high school students, and the Dr. Spencer McLean Memorial Award for exemplifying altruism and care in the service to others.  Dr. Page graduated as co-president of the University of Toronto Medical School Class of 2012.  Additionally, Dr. Page has served as a longtime leadership volunteer with Scouts Canada.  She is the former National Youth Commissioner and while attending medical school she was elected to the office of Vice Chair (Strategic) of the National Board of Governors, making her the youngest elected officer in the organization's 100+ year history.  During her tenure at the national level, Scouts Canada saw year over year growth for the fist time in decades, elevated its national profile, and revitalized its image with a complete uniform and brand makeover.  Dr. Page is well versed in change management strategies and organizational transformation.

TEACHING
TEACHING

Dr. Page is an award winning educator with extensive experience in didactic and experiential education.  She has received, led, and developed training in the areas of leadership and education.  She has worked as a science educator for Science Venture (University of Victoria) and as a park naturalist (BC Parks).  She has over a decade of experience instructing youth in Scouts Canada and leading courses for all age groups.  Within medicine, she consistently ranks highly among residents for education within the OR as well as in the classroom.  She has instructed medical students in lecture, small group, and clinical settings.

Dr. Page believes in understanding her learner and adapting the delivery of content to their specific learning style.
